Teen Bahadur (3B)

Teen Bahadur (3B) is the first animated full-length feature film of Pakistan that aims to empower and motivate the youth of today. It is the story of three extraordinary children Amna, Saadi and Kamil that rise from the unlikeliest of places and become heroes in their community. Equipped with courage and superpowers, the three 11 year olds fight for justice to restore peace and harmony to their once thriving town. The film released in Pakistani cinemas on May 22nd and is now the highest grossing animated film in Pakistan

A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness

More than a 1000 women are killed in the name of 'honor' in Pakistan every year. 'A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness' follows the story of a rare survivor who falls in love and lives to tell the tale

Humaira: The Game Changer

Humaira Bachal is an activist and educationalist based in one of the most dangerous slums of Pakistan. The film follows Humaira in the poverty-stricken area of Muwach Goth in Karachi, where, at a very young age, she began her journey to fight for girls education. She established the Dream Foundation Trust which has been working on the basic needs of people. The film serves as a tribute to her personal struggles and shares her vision for the future of her organization

Song of Lahore

With its ancient palaces and stately gardens, Lahore after the independence of Pakistan in 1947 was hailed as a haven and a muse for musicians, artists, and poets. Today, this version of Lahore exists only in myth. Through the personal stories of some of the country's great musicians, Song of Lahore is a portrait of the classical music heritage of Pakistan, and the threats to its survival in this era of militant Islam and civil decay. The film received a standing ovation at New York premiere at Tribeca Film Festival in April

Peacekeepers

Co-produced by Geeta Gandbhir and Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy; A Journey of a Thousand Miles: Peacekeepers , follows a unit of one hundred and sixty women who, between June 2013 and July 2014, travel far from their families, friends and all that is familiar at home in Bangladesh to join the United Nations Stabilizing Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH). They form one of the world's first all female, predominantly Muslim peacekeeping units; shattering every stereotype the world holds about the capabilities of Muslim women.

Humaira: The Dream Catcher

Humaira: The Dream Catcher celebrates the achievements of Humaira Bachal, a activist from Karachi who fights for girls education. Working out of Muwach Goth, Humaira has single handedly educated over 1200 students at the nominal fee of 1 rupee per day. The film serves as a tribute to her personal struggles and shares her vision for the future of her organization, The Dream Foundation Trust

ACF

The Ayesha Chundrigar Foundation rescues and provides sanctuary for stray and abandoned animals across the city of Karachi. The ‪SOC Films‬ crew decided to cover their story, documenting the activities of the ACF Staff as they aided those who cannot aid themselves - the animals!

ChildLife Foundation

Access to quality healthcare is every child's right, despite their family's income and wealth. The ChildLife Foundation provides everyone of its patients with an international standard of healthcare - for free. ‎SOC Films‬ documented its efforts, and is proud to share their story

Aman Foundation

The Aman Foundation provides Pakistanis with the first state-of the-art ambulatory network which functions on an international protocol; providing 24/7 emergency medical interventions with an average response time of 8 minutes. To further bolster emergency healthcare for Karachi's huge population, Aman is now working towards increasing their ambulance fleet size. SOC FILMS‬ documented their life saving journey earlier this year

The Indus Hospital

The team at SOC made a short documentary on The Indus Hospital, Pakistan's only free health care provider. The hospital was founded in 2005 by a team of doctors, philanthropists, and businessmen, who were fuelled by a passion to serve people unable to afford health-care facilities. Their determination planted the seeds of a vision that culminated in the creation of a 150 bed tertiary care center in July 2007

New Indus Hospital Blood Bank

The team at SOC made a short documentary on the Blood Centre at The Indus Hospital, Pakistan's only free health care provider. The hospital was founded in 2005 by a team of doctors, philanthropists, and businessmen, who were fuelled by a passion to serve people unable to afford health-care facilities. Their vision is to provide the safest possible blood, meeting all international standards, to all segments of society without any discrimination

Litre of Light Pakistan

The team at SOC made a short video for PepsiCo Pakistan which has joined hands with Litre of Light Pakistan to start LightingUpLives; a movement to provide lighting solutions to the communities in need. The project will enable installation of safe, environment-friendly and sustainable Pepsi bottled solar lights in these communities. Watch the Pepsi bottle turn into a litre of life and share it with your friends and family to spread the awareness and light up more lives!

Naseem was tragically killed in a domestic violence incident a few months after the filming of this documentary. She was a very inspirational woman who will be remembered for her passion and bravery. This is her story

Coca Cola Pakistan - Crazy for Good Episode 1

SOC Films is working in collaboration with Coca Cola Pakistan to launch Ho Yaqeen - Part 2 as a part of a global campaign launched by Coca Cola by the name of, 'Crazy for Good'. The first mini documentary celebrates the work of Emaan Mahmud and Momin Zafar, who conduct art classes with children on the streets of Karachi every week. Their motivation? The chance to share what they love with other people

Ho Yaqeen - Episode 6

The final episode of Ho Yaqeen brings you our youngest hero. 25-year old Humera Bachal is a staunch advocate of girls' education in an environment where agents of status quo brutally resist the idea of female literacy that is prevalent from the mountains of Swat to the coast of Karachi.

Mowach Goth, a low-income settlement in Karachi, is home to people from Baloch, Pashtun and Sindhi communities. Though the literacy rate among the entire population is generally low, not sending young girls to school is another alarming trend in the area. Humera Bachal, striving to change this trend by running a school. Dream Foundation, which began as a tuition center for a few students in 2003, is now a formal school currently enrolling 1200 students where children pay a rupee a day to acquire the priceless gift of education.

Ho Yaqeen - Episode 5

The Thar desert in Sindh is known for its challenging living conditions; harsh terrains and extreme weather conditions are coupled with limited access to basic resources. It is common for people to walk for miles under the scorching sun to acquire a few pots of water. Unfortunately, that is not where the ordeal of the Tharris ends. A lot of the water they have access to is contaminated with high amounts of fluoride, and this has resulted in numerous cases of dental and skeletal fluorosis as well as paralysis among the people of the region. Ali Akbar, who hails from Thar, is working to change this so that the people of Thar get access to clean drinking water - something that is their basic human right

Bonded labour is Pakistan is an undeniable reality. Abused, overworked and neglected, brick kiln workers in the Punjab are not much more than slaves to rich exploitative owners. Fatima is a civil rights worker who has dedicated her life to ensuring that bonded labourers gain access to equal rights and freedom. Deeply divided along ethnic lines, Lyari is haunted by civil unrest, violence and cyclical poverty. Not one to shy away from adversity, Sabina Khatri chose to tackle the root of the problem by opening a Montessori in the heart of Lyari. Today, the Kiran School serves as on oasis for children and parents; it is a place full of hope, laughter and bright futures
